My stay at Aston Lakeland Village Beach & Mountain Resort was a mix of highs and lows. The location is fantastic, right by the lake with access to a private beach, which really enhanced my experience. However, I was disappointed with my room; the full-size bed felt cramped for two people, and the non-working fireplace didn’t help set a cozy atmosphere. Overall, I enjoyed the resort's amenities, like the pools and hot tubs, but I think some room improvements are needed.
Rooms
6.0
I found my one-bedroom lodge room spacious and comfortable, but the full-size bed was a letdown for couples. Plus, the fireplace didn't work.
Service
8.0
The service was great, particularly from the young lady at the front desk, who was incredibly helpful and friendly.
Location
8.0
The hotel is in a gorgeous area right on the lake, providing stunning views and close access to local attractions.
Dining
6.0
While I didn't experience any dining options at the resort, the kitchen facilities in my unit were well-equipped for self-catering.
Facilities

The pools and hot tubs were great, especially with one overlooking the lake. However, they could use a little more attention to cleanliness.

My stay at the Aston Lakeland Village Beach & Mountain Resort had its highlights, particularly the gorgeous location right by the lake. although I was disappointed with my room's cleanliness and some amenities. The private beach access was a definite perk, enhancing our overall experience. but the issues with my unit cast a shadow over my stay.
Rooms
5.0
I was shocked by the state of my unit, as it had dirty carpets and minimal kitchen utensils. The lack of basic amenities, like functional outlets and a clean dining setup, made my stay uncomfortable.
Service
5.0
While the staff were friendly, my experience with managing my reservation was frustrating, and it felt that they prioritized profit over good customer service, especially when dealing with conflicts.
Location
8.0
The resort is ideally situated right on the lake, providing stunning views and easy access to beach activities, which I greatly appreciated during my stay.
Dining
5.0
I found the kitchen in my unit lacking basic cooking tools, which made preparing meals for my family quite difficult. There were very few utensils available to accommodate our needs.
Facilities
5.0
Although the resort offers multiple outdoor amenities, my experience with the condition of my unit diminished what could have been a relaxing stay. Some facilities seemed well-maintained, but my unit was not up to par for the price we paid.

6.6/10
My stay at the resort had its ups and downs. While the location right by the lake and the spacious family units offered a pleasant backdrop, I faced significant issues with service and room conditions that detracted from the experience. The staff was friendly, but they seemed overwhelmed and not adequately empowered to assist effectively. Overall, it felt like the service quality had diminished since prior visits.
Rooms
5.0
The room had noticeable stains and lacked essential amenities like washcloths. Additionally, the lack of daily housekeeping left trash accumulating in the hallways.
Service
6.0
Despite the friendly staff, I struggled with the check-in process and had to make multiple requests for basic needs like towels. The front desk was difficult to reach, leaving us stranded at one point.
Location
8.0
The hotel was conveniently located right on the lake with direct beach access, making it great for swimming and relaxation.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were limited and not available around the pool area, which was a disappointment.
Facilities
5.0
The lack of regular housekeeping services and the decline in available amenities negatively impacted my stay. It seemed that the management’s focus had shifted towards maintaining security rather than improving guest experience.

My stay at Aston Lakeland Village Beach & Mountain Resort had its ups and downs. The location is fantastic with direct access to a beautiful private beach, which enhanced our experience. However, the check-in process was frustrating, with delays and limited housekeeping services that left much to be desired. Overall, while I enjoyed some aspects of the stay, the service issues might deter me from returning.
Rooms
6.0
Our unit was generally comfortable and clean, featuring a full kitchen which was convenient for meal prep. However, some amenities were dated, the sofa bed was uncomfortable, and the bathroom lacked proper ventilation.
Service
5.0
The staff were polite, but there were significant delays in check-in and response times for housekeeping, which felt under-staffed. This impacted our overall experience, especially during a busy wedding week.
Location
8.0
The resort's location right by the lake was amazing, allowing easy access to the beach and nearby activities. However, I did notice some crowding at the beach due to outside visitors, which detracted from the private feel.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were limited, but having a kitchen allowed us to prepare our meals. I was disappointed that on-site food service was not available, especially during peak times.
Facilities
6.0
The amenities like the outdoor pools were enjoyable, though I noted a lack of towel service and an outdated laundry facility. The shuttle service was a big plus for getting to and from skiing.

My stay at Aston Lakeland Village Beach & Mountain Resort had its highlights, especially the stunning location by the lake which allowed for great access to the beach. However, the experience was marred by significant issues, particularly with housekeeping and the condition of the accommodations. While the hotel had great potential, the lack of adequate service and maintenance made for a disappointing experience overall.
Rooms
6.0
I stayed in a two-bedroom condo that faced the main road. It was dated, with old carpets and a tight kitchen. The bathrooms had some updates, but there were issues like running toilets. For a place that charged $260 a night, the condition felt unacceptable.
Service
5.0
The service left much to be desired. We didn't receive housekeeping during our week-long stay, and getting clean towels required multiple calls. On arrival, the front desk was unhelpful regarding our room location, and a lot was simply disappointing.
Location
9.0
The location of the resort was perfect—right by the lake and close to various attractions in South Lake Tahoe. Access to a sandy beach was also fantastic, making it a great spot for leisurely days by the water.
Dining
7.0
Unfortunately, I didn't dine at the resort, but having a full kitchen in my unit allowed for some homemade breakfasts. It would have been helpful to have more dining options on-site.
Facilities
8.0
The resort's facilities included pools and access to local activities, which I appreciated. The presence of a shuttle service was convenient and made exploring South Lake Tahoe easier.
